Stuart McLean is a disruptor of traditional media, one who wields a rich depth of experience across marketing, media and content creation to inhabit the intersection of all three. McLean maintains a track record of success executing campaigns that pivot brands – brands that traditionally have stayed behind the scenes of production and media – into their own generators of content for the next generation of consumers.
McLean has been an innovator in the branded content space since 2001 and his mark can be seen across numerous elite brands, which range from Kellogg’s, Ford, InBev and Schick to Subway, Pepsi and Unilever, among others.
In 2008, McLean founded Content & Co as a turn key studios for brands. Under Stuart’s leadership, Content & Co has created more than 16 premium branded scripted and reality series distributed in North America and Europe.
In 2014 the award winning Content & Co. was honored as Subway’s Agency of The Year, Ad Age’s Small Agency Campaign of the Year and named one of the “Top 10 Most Effective Independent Agencies” by the Effies
McLean sits on the board of Think LA and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and BCMA (Branded Content Marketing Organization).
Prior to forming Content & Co, Stuart was President of JWTwo, the hypergrowth studio division of JWT, North Amerci’s largest ad agency. Stuart’s early days were spent on Madison Avenue at Young & Rubicam and JWT.
