Subway Fresh Artists: Film

As the media and entertainment model is changing at breakneck speed, Subway knew the importance of starting a dialogue early with the next generation of creative talent.

Now in it’s fourth year, The Subway Fresh Artists Filmmaker program asks film students from USC’s School of the Cinematic Arts, NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and Syracuse’s Newhouse School to create webseries that bring Subway’s messaging to life.

The Fresh Artists program is designed to help these students get a head start in their careers by promoting their work with a premiere at SXSW, a dedicated page on My Damn Channel and features on IFC that has drawn support from Grace Helbig and Adam Carolla.

Most recently, The Television Academy Foundation came on board to spotlight the Subway Fresh Artists at the 2014 Emmy Awards. We are proud of all of Subway Fresh Artist and wish them continued success in the careers.

Winner:

  • 2012 College Television Awards
  • 2013 College Television Awards
  • 2014 College Television Awards
  • 2015 College Television Awards

Subway Fresh Artists: Music

The nationwide Subway Fresh Artists campaign and music competition gave one talented unsigned music artist/band the chance to open for the Goo Goo Dolls.

During the competition, the public was able to listen to original songs and vote for their favorite artists through on I Heart Radio station web sites, iheartradio.com, and OurStage.com. The artist and consumer responses to the competition were enthusiastic – 1,230 bands uploaded “wake up” songs, while listeners voted more than one million times for their favorite band. We were pleased to crown Stars Go Dim as the Subway Fresh Artists and wish then continued success.
